We are currently praying for a new pastor.

In August of 2015, Steve and Ruth Grubbs resigned their multi-role positions on staff at the Shenandoah Baptist Church which they began 27 years ago. After vacationing in Maine during several of their wedding anniversaries, they saw the great need for solid, soul-winning, Bible-centered churches in that state. Although they were busy in their ministries there at Shenandoah, traveling for the Shenandoah Ranch and Haven and raising funds to assist those ministries, God had planted a seed there that continued to grow.

After many years of prayer and seeking God’s will on the right timing, God opened the door for them to start a new church in New Vineyard, Maine with a nucleus of 6 believers that had given up on their church doors ever being open again. Not only did God give the Grubbs’ the “green light” to go to New Vineyard, He supplied them with a beautiful building and the opportunity to begin a completely “new” work called the Gospel Light Baptist Church.

Pastor Steve Grubbs and Ruth retired in August of 2024. Please pray that God will continue to bless this ministry as we pray for a new shepherd. If you or someone you know is interested, please reach out.
